However, if that doesn’t work, you may have a major leak in a pipe in your home on in the main line that feeds your home. In these cases, you need to call a professional plumber.

It is always best to call a professional plumber if you discover any kind of leak in the pipes in your home. Water pipes carry an enormous amount of pressure and it doesn’t take much for a small leak to become a powerful geyser.

If you notice mold or mildew on parts of your bathroom wall or floor that don’t get wet, it could indicate that you have a leaky pipe that needs prompt attention. If a pipe is leaking water behind a wall or under a floor, this can cause structural damage to the building, resulting in costly repairs.
